OCNJ | June 13

Hello all!

With the start of summer approaching and no definite vacation plans, Michael and I decided to take a day trip to the beach! We usually always go to Ocean City Maryland, but since it was only a day trip, we wanted to go somewhere that did not take as long. OCMD usually takes us 4-4 1/2 hours depending on traffic. So we decided on OCNJ, which is about 3 hours away. Neither of us had ever been there, and I had only been to the Jersey Shore two other times, when I had went to Wildwood as a teenager with my family.

The beach was pretty, I’ll give it that. We’re not used to grass when we go to Ocean Shitty.. I mean City* Maryland. But that was probably the only thing about NJ that I preferred over MD. That, and the hour an half travel time that was cut off. Other than that we were not impressed. Not impressed by the dry town (like c’mon, can’t even drink a miller lite with my pizza?), not impressed by having to pay $5 a person to get on the beach..(OCMD is freeee) and totally not impressed that they didn’t have Thrashers or Candy Kitchen (my two most favorite boardwalk stops).

Overall though, it was a good trip. We got in the freeeeezing water, got a good tan (horrible sunburn came first of course), and even got Gelato before we left!

Like I said, it was pretty, which made for an awesome photo op. So check out the pics below and I’ll talk to you guys lataa!

xoxo, Imrelle
