Holiday Outfit Ideas | Lookbook

Good Morning Everyone! Can you believe there’s only 3 more days until Christmas?! I seriously can’t, I personally feel like this holiday season just flew right by! I actually feel like the older I get, the faster the holidays seem to come and go. Maybe one day when I have children of my own to celebrate with the time will slow down and I’ll be able to soak in all of the holly and cinnamon that I want! Regardless, right now, Christmas is just around the corner and if you still haven’t decided what you are going to wear I have you covered in today’s post!

Today I am going to be sharing with you all two holiday outfit ideas! I think these outfits are great if you’re hanging at home and family is coming over, or if you’re going out to a family members house.

In my family personally, I do not get all dolled up in a fancy outfit (anymore). I just like to be comfortable but still look nice enough for all the obligatory family photos that are going to occur. If you do like to get a little more dressed up, then by all means to your thang!

Outfit #1:

If you saw my post from Monday, Family Christmas Photos 2017 then this outfit might look familiar to you! This is obviously what I wore for our Christmas photos this year and I seriously love this outfit. I think the color of the cardigan is so pretty, and woven through it are these sparkly goldish-silver threads. Honestly, that doesn’t even sound like something that is my style but I thought it is perfect for the holidays! It’s a simple way to add a little glitz into your Christmas sweater without looking too crazy. I also love the oversized bell sleeves and the ribbed details. Seriously the softest and warmest cardi, and so on trend as well!

I kept the rest of the outfit pretty simple with my favorite AE skinny jeans, an oversized white T shirt, that I tucked in to give it a more “put together” look, and some taupe booties! I also threw on this huge flannel blanket scarf from Forever 21! It is honestly one of my staple pieces throughout the Fall-Winter months. Also, I think the fact that the plaid has different shades of red in it is always a great holiday touch!

Outfit #2:

My next outfit can be a little more casual, and you could actually swap out some of the pieces to make it more comfy too! I’m wearing my favorite AE jeans again, black faux leather riding boots, with a red and black checked flannel. I think red and black checked flannels literally scream Christmas! I always associate it with this time of year and I think it looks so festive! I love how this particular flannel gives off a more feminine vibe than your typical button up. It has a quarter zip instead of buttons and I love how there are two large pockets instead of just one! I really love the oversized fit of this shirt as well.. it is perfect for hiding any food baby that might appear after Christmas dinner! I also always roll up my sleeves when I’m wearing any kind of flannel, button up, men’s shirt, you name it. I think it definetly gives a more chic (not so lumberjack) and feminine vibe! To top it all off and dress it up a little bit I added a black faux shearling vest!

*If you want o make this more of a stay at home, or just super comfy, look I have a few suggestions. I would swap out the jeans for your favorite black leggings or even a pair of trendy joggers, change out the vest for an oversized sweater or cardigan, and if riding boots still are comfy enough for you, you could even switch those up with something like moccasins!
