Way back (in June) when I started this “thrifted Thursdays” series, I said there would be one at least once a month. Here we are, almost 7 months later and this is only the third thrifted Thursday I’ve done. I will definitely work on posting more of these, but I don’t think once a month was ever a realistic plan.
Now that I got all that mumbo jumbo out of the way, hello! Happy Thursday. You obviously know by now that I have another fashion Thrifted Thursday for you all today. My oversized crewneck sweater, and my black leather boots are my featured thrifted items in this outfit today!
I love this sweater. It is just a mens fleece crewneck, but it is the softest and comfiest thing I own. It is a 2 or 3X, but in my opinion, I think it’s the perfect amount of oversized so it still looks comfy, but it doesn’t swallow me whole. I love wearing this around the house just to lounge around in, but I really like wearing it out as well too! I always front tuck it into my favorite jeans (high waited would look so cute as well), and I love cuffing the sleeves since they are too long.
When I saw these black boots at Community Aid I wasn’t sure if I should get them or not. I couldn’t tell if they were super trendy (I was getting KKW vibes) or if they were honestly just dated. In the end, Jess told me they were for sure a vibe, so I decided to pick them up and I’d figure out what I was going to wear them with later. Well, I’m so glad I got them! They are in great condition, super easy to walk in, really on-trend and wearable, and they were only $5. And they are originally from Nine West!
To really complete the look, I like to add either a chunky infinity scarf, or a huge blanket scarf. It contributes to the cozy look, but still looks like you made an effort. As of lately my favorite accessory has been hoops, so of course I also put on a pair of my favorites and I was ready to go.
This outfit is so comfortable, yet I think it is still really chic!
Let me know what you guys think of this outfit and if you like my Thrifted Thursday posts. I’ll talk to you guys later!
